Smebiz needed to turn raw banking data into actionable financial insights for small business owners who aren't accountants. The challenge was syncing with multiple bank and credit card APIs, normalizing transaction data across different formats, and presenting it in visualizations that make cash flow patterns immediately obvious. We built interactive charts and graphs with React, implemented smart transaction categorization and grouping, created monthly and quarterly P&L reports that generate automatically, and set up daily email summaries. The Node.js backend handles bank API synchronization while PostgreSQL manages the financial data with full audit trails.
