VAS needed a frontend that could handle the complexity of modern dairy farming — tracking individual animals across birth, health events, milk production, feed performance, and waste management. The data volume was enormous: thousands of datapoints per animal, updated in real time from connected farm devices. We built a React application with TypeScript that could render complex data tables, charts, and timelines performantly, even with tens of thousands of records. Comprehensive testing with Jest and React Testing Library ensured reliability, while Cypress E2E tests validated critical farm management workflows end-to-end.
